Synopsis[]
Amid chaos, Aneesha makes a difficult decision for the sake of her family. Trevante, a Navy SEAL, investigates a distress call with his team.
Plot[]
Long Island, New York, Aneesha and Ahmed seek shelter in the basement with Luke and Sarah after the explosion has leveled the neighborhood and knocked out power. Following a second explosion and Luke seemingly suffering from some kind of odd after effect, the Maliks decide to flee the city.
London, England, a class of young boys and girls take a field trip. Among them is a kid named Caspar, who suffers from epilepsy and is tormented by a group of bullies led by Monty. While on the bus, their technology, such as phones, seem to experience a bit of disruption, and Caspar has a seizure. This combined with the metal shrapnel that suddenly starts falling from the sky causes the bus to crash in a large ditch just off the side of the road.
Tokyo, Japan, with Hinata away on a trip to the International Space Station for the next year, Mitsuki is forced to move on with her life. However, when she learns that they’ve lost communication with the shuttle, she rushes into work only to discover that the shuttle has been ruptured and that the astronauts on board, including Hinata, are presumably dead. Mitsuki mourns Hinata’s death in private, but even that proves difficult when her mother attempts to convince her to see this unfortunate incident as a gift. So, Mitsuki tries to cope by drinking and partying, but forgetting about her lost love is more difficult than she imagined.
U.S. Navy SEAL Trevante Cole is stationed at a combat outpost in Kandahar Province, Afghanistan, where he and his unit go searching for a missing squad unit after losing contact. Before long, they arrive at a village that was attacked and follow the trail to the school, where they are pointed in the right direction by the children. However, Trevante’s unit is met with unearthly resistance.
